The states with the highest number of beneficiaries have already published their distribution dates for July.

• New York will distribute benefits between July 1 and July 9, while New Jersey will concentrate payments between July 1 and July 5.
• In Texas and Florida, where millions of households participate in the program, distribution will continue between July 1 and July 28.
• Georgia will issue deposits between July 5 and July 23.
• Illinois, New Mexico and Washington will maintain a schedule between July 1 and July 20.
• In Puerto Rico, payments will be available between July 4 and July 22, according to the schedule established by local authorities.

Beneficiaries living in other states can check their exact payment date through the state agency that manages SNAP in their area.

The amount changes depending on household size and income

The benefit amount is not the same for all participants. SNAP calculates the monthly payment by considering the number of people in the household and the family’s available income.

• For July 2026, a one-person household can receive up to $298 per month.
• Families with two members can receive up to $546, while a household of four people can receive a maximum of $994.
• Families with five members can receive up to $1,183, and households with eight people have a maximum benefit of $1,789.

When a family has more than eight members, the program adds $218 for each additional person.

The final amount will depend on the evaluation carried out by the corresponding state agency regarding each applicant’s financial situation.

Checking your balance before shopping can prevent problems

Although deposits are made automatically, checking your EBT card balance before going to the grocery store allows you to confirm that the benefit has already been credited.

It is also recommended to use only the schedules published by the state agencies responsible for SNAP, since dates may change from one state to another and there is no single nationwide calendar.
