SNAP Food Stamp Payments in 3 States This Week

SNAP beneficiaries are already waiting for their June deposits on their EBT cards.
This week, states such as California, New York, and New Jersey will continue sending payments corresponding to food stamps, support that is essential for many households that depend on this assistance to cover part of their monthly expenses.
- Why it matters: Knowing deposit dates allows families to better organize their grocery shopping and avoid setbacks while waiting for the next payment.
California, New York, and New Jersey Continue Sending Payments
June SNAP deposits are distributed on a staggered basis across the country, since each state manages its own payment calendar.
- In California, beneficiaries will receive deposits between June 1 and June 10.
- New York has scheduled deliveries between June 1 and June 9.
- New Jersey concentrates distribution between June 1 and June 5.

Funds are deposited automatically onto EBT cards, so beneficiaries do not need to complete any additional steps to receive the money.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, or USDA, oversees the program at the federal level, but distribution depends on each state. For that reason, dates may vary depending on local criteria such as case number, region of residence, or even the beneficiary’s last name.
SNAP Food Stamps Remain Key for Millions of Latino Families
For many low-income households, food stamps represent one of the most important forms of support in the monthly budget.
The program allows beneficiaries to purchase essential foods at supermarkets and authorized stores, helping reduce financial pressure on families.
Although deposits are made every month, specific dates can influence expense planning, especially for those who depend on this benefit to cover a significant portion of their food needs.

For this reason, state agencies recommend that beneficiaries periodically check the balance of their EBT cards and stay informed about the payment calendar for their state.
Proposal Advances to Allow the Purchase of Rotisserie Chicken
While June deposits continue, Washington is discussing a possible change to the program’s current rules.
A bipartisan group of senators introduced a bill that would allow SNAP benefits to be used to purchase hot rotisserie chicken and other prepared foods ready to eat.
According to information reported by Today.com, the initiative was promoted by Senators Jim Justice, Shelley Moore Capito, John Fetterman, and Michael Bennet.
Currently, most hot foods prepared for immediate consumption are excluded from purchases authorized by SNAP.
The proposal seeks to modify the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to specifically allow this type of product.
If the initiative advances in Congress, it could represent one of the most relevant changes for beneficiaries in recent years.

These Are the Maximum SNAP Amounts for June 2026
The amount each household receives depends on factors such as income, expenses, and the number of family members.
For June 2026, the maximum allotments established by the program are:
- A one-person household can receive up to $298 per month.
- Two members can access a maximum of $546.
- Families of four can receive up to $994.
- Five-person households have a maximum of $1,183.
- Families of eight can receive up to $1,789.
For each additional member, the benefit increases by $218.
Not all beneficiaries receive the maximum amounts, since the final amount is calculated according to each household’s financial situation.
- What’s next: Deposits will continue being sent over the next few days in different states. At the same time, beneficiaries will keep watching the progress of the bill that could expand the list of foods allowed under the SNAP program.
