No one matched the complete combination to win the jackpot, which was then at $905 million. With this result, the streak increased to 43 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the organization that administers PowerBall.

The last big prize was won on May 2, when two tickets sold in Florida and Texas shared a $20 million prize.

Three Players Won Between $1 Million and $2 Million

Just because no one won the jackpot doesn’t mean Monday’s drawing ended without new millionaires.

According to PowerBall information cited by CNN, a ticket sold in Tennessee matched the five white balls and had the Power Play option, increasing its prize to $2 million.

Two other tickets matched the five white balls and won $1 million each. They were sold in California and Maryland.

The Winner Would Have to Make a Million-Dollar Decision

If someone matches the five white balls and the red PowerBall on Wednesday, they will have to decide how to receive a life-changing amount of money.

PowerBall currently shows an estimated jackpot of $975 million and a cash value of $422.3 million.

The lump-sum option delivers a considerably smaller amount than the announced prize, while the annuity option distributes the money through payments over approximately three decades.

It’s a difference of hundreds of millions of dollars that makes the payment method one of the first major financial decisions for any winner.
