Baltimore police reported they responded to the crash at 7:36 a.m.
One of the vehicles was driven by an agent from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Both drivers were taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
Authorities stated that the injuries were minor.
Version from the attorney and family
Immigration attorney Adam Crandell questioned the official version.
“Calling this an accident is somewhat inappropriate,” he said.
According to Crandell, the incident may have been the result of intentional actions.

He also stated that there is no protocol that allows vehicles to be used in that manner during immigration operations.
Crandell explained that the truck was rear-ended by an ICE agent.
The impact led to Alvarenga Ríos being transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
The attorney claimed that his client’s injuries are more serious than what police reported.
Alvarenga Ríos had been trying to obtain citizenship for eight years.
Testimony from the wife
The man’s wife, Lurbin Vásquez, expressed her fear following the Baltimore accident.
“Emotionally I feel devastated, but I remain firm in my stance to keep speaking out,” she wrote.
Vásquez last spoke with her husband on Thursday at 4:33 p.m.
According to her account, he told her he had a concussion.
He also said his arm was in a cast and that he was in pain.
Vásquez stated that her husband did not know ICE agents were following him.
She explained that one vehicle stopped in front of his truck while another struck him from behind.
Only afterward did he realize both vehicles belonged to ICE.
“He didn’t even know they were ICE or why they were following him,” she wrote.
Context of other incidents where ICE was involved
This is not the only recent case in the state.
On Wednesday, ICE agents were involved in another accident in Annapolis.
According to local police, no one was injured in that incident.
So far, representatives from the Department of Homeland Security have not responded to requests for comment.
