According to Bach, a van pursuing the man struck her vehicle during the incident.

Authorities also said the driver of the van left the scene after the crash.

DHS Identifies the Detainee and Reports Disturbances

The Department of Homeland Security reported that the man arrested by ICE is originally from Venezuela.

According to the agency, he entered the United States illegally in 2023.

DHS also said a large crowd of protesters surrounded federal agents and their vehicles during the operation.

The agency added that another protester crashed into a light pole.
