  • Uncertainty Over U.S. Tour

What seemed to be one of the strongest formulas in regional Mexican music is now surrounded by tension after Chuy Lizárraga and El Coyote became involved in a major media clash during tour dates in the United States.

José Ángel Ledezma’s absence from a concert triggered public complaints that quickly set social media ablaze. From the stage, Lizárraga decided to break his silence in front of the audience and blamed his colleague’s inner circle.

“It’s because of his manager. I love my buddy a lot, but his manager is the one who pulled this crap,” he told attendees. The singer also expressed frustration over attempts to cancel scheduled performances.

“I’ve been fighting with managers for a week because they wanted to cancel everything,” he said, revealing the level of tension behind the scenes. The intervention surprised fans, who had expected a smooth show. Within hours, videos of the moment began circulating and dividing opinions.

Because El Coyote was unable to be physically present, Julio Preciado appeared as support during some dates. However, his participation was not free of controversy or conflicting interpretations.

Lizárraga questioned the way his colleague participated remotely. “You have to step up like men and face things head-on, not be doing crap from over there,” he said during the same event.

Preciado also took the microphone to clarify his position before the audience. “I did not come to take anyone’s place. He accepted it,” he said, rejecting versions that described him as a permanent replacement.

The exchange showed that the conflict went beyond a simple logistical absence. The tension was no longer only professional, but also personal among those involved.

El Coyote Responds and Distances Himself

Hours after the accusations went viral, El Coyote decided to publicly state his position. The performer expressed discomfort over the way the conflict was handled from the stage.

“That is not what friends do,” he said, referring to the comments made in front of the audience. His words were interpreted as a break in trust between the two artists.

He also left the future of the tour under its name up in the air. “If they want to keep working, they can call it Viruta and Capulina, but ‘Capibaras’ is Chuy Lizárraga and El Coyote,” he declared.

The message further fueled debate among regional Mexican music fans. Many began speculating about a possible definitive split from the project.

Financial Accusations and a Call for Respect

The conflict escalated when El Coyote addressed the issue of fees related to the tour. According to his version, Preciado’s participation was not simply a gesture of support.

“You are charging me $60,000 for each event… you are taking advantage of the situation, and that is not being friends,” he said in his statement. The accusation added a financial component to the public controversy.

He also explained that part of the problem arose from a misunderstanding during an interaction with musicians. “I never insulted you, buddy, and I did not insult my buddy Chuy either,” he said in defense of his position.

Finally, he asked for respect for his work team and left open the possibility of a solution. “I demand respect… I hope he reconsiders,” he concluded, while the future of the Capibaras Tour controversy remains uncertain.
