Alejandro Chabán and Alejandro De Cesare surprised fans by announcing that they got married in Miami after years together and an engagement during the pandemic.

The couple confirmed on Saturday, August 22, that they celebrated an intimate ceremony in the garden of their own home, surrounded by just 30 guests.

“It was a dream come true,” the newlyweds said in exclusive statements to People en Español about the ceremony that officially turned their relationship into a marriage.

“For me, it was the most important ‘I do.’ It was also a moment of healing, of reclaiming who I truly am and embracing it,” Chabán confessed.

“We are together now, there is no more fear, we are a family,” the host added while describing what the ceremony personally meant to him.

The wedding remained a private, family-oriented affair. In addition to their loved ones, the couple’s dog, Azul, attended dressed in formal attire.

Among the well-known guests was Gaby Espino, who served as matron of honor because of the close friendship she has shared with Chabán since they were teenagers.

“When we come to this country as immigrants, we leave family behind in our home countries,” Chabán explained while discussing Espino’s importance in his life.

Chabán said he has known the Venezuelan actress since he was 16 and explained why he decided to give her such an important role during the ceremony.

“Gaby has been there for me so many times. I wanted her to have that special place she deserves,” the host and entrepreneur told People en Español.

Espino also publicly celebrated the marriage, sharing her excitement on Instagram: “Everything was so beautiful… every detail.”

“I love you, and what I want most is for you to always be happy!” the actress wrote in a message dedicated to Chabán after the ceremony.

 

Francisca and Francesco Zampogna Were Among the 30 Guests

Francisca, a host of “Despierta América,” was also among the exclusive group of attendees, accompanied by her husband, Francesco Zampogna.

The Dominican TV personality described the celebration as “a dream” and shared some details, including banquet plates personalized with each guest’s name.

“What a joy to witness such an important moment for you both,” Francisca wrote while publicly congratulating the newlyweds.

Chabán said the celebration unfolded exactly as they had imagined: “I don’t think I would change anything because everything turned out like a dream, exactly the way we wanted it.”

Alejandro Chabán Wedding Culminates a Years-Long Love Story

Their story began long before the marriage. They met in 2009, although for years they remained in contact only sporadically.

Chabán lived in Miami while De Cesare remained in New York, until they reconnected in 2018 and began communicating more frequently.

That renewed connection developed into a long-distance relationship until De Cesare decided to move to Miami so they could be together.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chabán gave his partner an engagement ring, although they had to wait until 2026 to finally celebrate their wedding.

Their Own Home Became the Setting for the Wedding

For Chabán, celebrating the marriage at home held special meaning because the space will remain an everyday part of the memories they created during the ceremony.

“The food, the place—which was our home—the place where we want that energy to remain so we can carry it with us every day,” he explained.

“When we look outside, we see that moment when we said ‘I do,’ that wonderful moment that changed us,” he added while recalling the ceremony in front of their guests.

With the wedding, Alejandro Chabán and De Cesare closed a long chapter of their story and began a new one as husbands, surrounded only by close family and friends.
